Ethics / state of grace

We are all products of the environment we grew up in. This rings true when talking about everything a person believes in and knows like their perception of right and wrong, their morals and their perspective of life in general. And when talking about what one person believes is ethical doesn't always carry on to the next persons ideals. It all depends on circumstances for one to decide what is right and wrong. Let's take this situation, two people see a homeless man outside a supermarket, both of them have only 10 dollars, one of them gives the homeless man 2 dollars while the other person gives nothing and walks right passed him. person A (the one who gave) thought person B (the one who didn't give) was selfish for seeing a suffering man and not giving even a dollar. Now you have to look further into both their lives and analyze their circumstance. Person B the one who gave nothing was having money issues and desperately needed money to buy food for the family. While person A wasn't in such troubled times when coming to money. And right there is a perfect example of how different circumstances could mold a persons ethical view.

Getting off the track of ethics and values. In class I've been reading this book called "State of Grace" it's about this utopian world, where everything is person, every person is unique, every little thing has a purpose, each person in the world has their own soulmate, this in a world where no-one critisizes no-one and everything has it's own line and rhythm. thats the best way I can explain it for now, I've only read a chapter and a half. But overall it seems like it'll be a very interesting book to be diving into.
